We built the entire app in Flutter for cross-platform delivery. The centerpiece was the 3D currency viewer — we modeled every bill and coin in Blender with high-fidelity textures, then rendered them in-app so users could rotate, zoom, and inspect the currency from every angle. It's the kind of detail that turns a government tool into something people actually want to use.

For the animated logo, we created a custom animation of the Banco de Guatemala seal — Mayan-inspired patterns building up to reveal the Quetzal bird and pyramid. This plays as the app's splash screen and sets the tone for the entire experience.

The AI bill recognition system was the technical highlight. We trained a model to identify Guatemalan bills from camera input with 98% accuracy — fast enough to work in real-time, robust enough to handle worn bills, different lighting, and partial occlusion.

Our partnership with BDG extends well beyond the Banguat project. We've become their go-to engineering partner for the hard problems across their entire client base.
